It is the season of giving and many people are feeling a little more charitable than usual. many of us donate a little more our favorite organizations. Here where I work we raised money for a coworker whose 1-year-old daughter is struggling with cancer. It’s a good thing. A recent article in USA Today discusses the real effect of the Climate Summit in Copenhagen. The article comes from an interview with Ray Weiss from the San Diego’s Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Weiss is a geochemist specializing in atmospheric pollution. And from what I could read from the article, and other research I did [...] If you know me, you know that I am a big support of charter schools. One of my daughters received and excellent education at Summit Academy for 2 years, and if the decision were totally mine, she would probably still be enrolled there. I don’t listen to the radio much any more. I just find myself too busy. However, I have heard several ads recently asking me to encourage my legislator to increase the tax on tobacco. These ads are apparently from the American Cancer Society. However, in the ad they say they are with the Protect Utah [...] I have been reading the Art of War these past couple of days. And I couldn’t help but think about Senator Nancy Pelosi’s and Senator Harry Reid’s actions these past few days as I read this: |
