Fabulous Farding Friday: Changes

Yep, I am reusing the “Fabulous Farding Friday” series again. But don’t get your hopes up. I am using it only because this is Friday, and because the subject here is completely fitting for a Fabulous Farding Friday.

You may have noticed that this site is a little different. The changes are actually the result of an errant click of the mouse.

During my long inactivity from this site, there have been several upgrades to the Blog-city service. It appears that most of them were for the better.

However, by clicking on one of the links to confirm the upgrades, I lost everything but my content (little exaggeration for emphasis). I spent the better part of yesterday morning trying to get the sight to look like I wanted it to.

Frankly, I was quite happy with the way that it looked before, but with the changes that happened, it would have been near impossible to restore it.

Well, you might be wondering what was so wonderful about the upgrades that I would have even bothered clicking on it. And the honest answer was nothing. I clicked on the link mostly out of simple curiosity.

There was one other reason. That reason is that Blog-city is no longer offering a free service. I have until the end of this year to either pay up, or move. I was trying to get an idea of the costs to stay here, but Blog-city is making that hard to learn.

So, I think that I will move. I might considering going over to Blogger, but their service isn’t a great as it could be, and the Gazelem name is already taken over there. So, if I move (no decision has been made), then I am going over to WordPress. I have even established an site over there.

Don’t go changing any links you have to here though. I am still deciding. In the mean time, I will be double posting (first to here, then reposting it over there). So, please check out my new WordPress site and let me know what you think.
